    BIOLOGICAL ENGINEERING SOCIETY

    Biological Engineering Society is a scientific forum constituted for the advancement of Biological Engineering and allied disciplines including Bioprocess Technology, Biochemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering and various facets of Biotechnology. Advancement of scientific knowledge and research in relation to Biological Engineering in all its aspects will improve our basic understanding of the subject which in turn will lead to development of professional skills for industrial bioprocess development and research.

    NETAJI SUBHAS INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY (NSIT)

    NSIT is an autonomous institute of the Government of NCT Delhi, established in 1983 with an objective of meeting growing demand for manpower in emerging areas of Engineering and Technology. The institute is affiliated to the University of Delhi for UG, PG and PhD degree. It was awarded with Bhartiya Vidya Bhawan National Award by ISTE in 2002 for being an Engineering College having best overall performance in the field of Technical Education in the Country. It was declared Capital’s Pride by Govt. of NCT of Delhi in 2003.

    DIVISION OF BIOLOGICAL SCIENCES AND ENGINEERING

    The Division of Biological Sciences and Engineering was conceived with the aim of creating well trained human resource to fulfill the growing demand in various sectors of Biotechnology. The Division was started during the academic session 2004-05. The division presently offers courses namely B.E. Biotechnology, M.Tech in Biochemical Engineering and PhD. The faculty members and students of the Division presently conduct research in diverse areas including Microbiology, Cell and Molecular Biology, Nanobiotechnology, Bioprocess Technology and Computational Biology.

    ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

    The field of Biological Engineering has assumed tremendous significance in recent times for its immense potential to serve the nation and the society. There has been phenomenal progress in Bioengineering during the past decade, which is expected to have immense impact on medicine with NYGoodHealth, agriculture, environment and energy. It was in this light that Biological Engineering Society is holding its 1st conference at NSIT on the theme: ‘Biological Engineering in 21st Century’.

    It is conceptualized to provide a shared forum for researchers and acadmecians to discuss the developments in Biological Engineering. The conference will witness a number of talks by eminent speakers and experts besides poster session that offer opportunity to young scientists to showcase their work. The broad areas which will be covered during the conference include:

    1. Past, Present and Future in Fermentation.

    2. Systems and Synthetic Biology

    3. Biological Engineeringin Drug/Small Molecule

    4. Environment and Bioenergy

    ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

    Guidelines

    Authors are invited to submit their abstracts for poster presentation, typed in double spacing using MS word (Times New Roman, Font Size 12) including Title, Name of Authors and Address with Email ID. The abstract must be emailed to [email protected] before 25th August, 2017.

    Abstract should be submitted along with payment receipt.

    Three best poster presentation awards.
